Launching a store on rStock
Follow this guide to apply for a store on rStock, set up your store profile and add your first products.
Getting Started
Step 1: Create an Account
If you don't already have an account, start by registering on rStock with your email address and a password, then confirm your email through the verification link. Having a verified account is the first step to becoming a seller.
Step 2: Apply for Store Status
Once you have an account, navigate to the store section and click "Apply to Become a Store". You'll need to provide:
- Store name (choose something memorable and relevant to your products)
- Store description (briefly describe what you'll be selling)
Applications are reviewed by the platform team. You'll receive a notification once your application has been processed.
Step 3: Application Fee
A store application has an application fee. It is charged from your rStock balance when you submit the application, and the amount is shown on the application form. If the application is rejected, the fee is refunded to your balance.
Setting Up Your Store
Configure Store Settings
Once approved, head to "Shop Settings" to customize your store:
- Store Logo: Upload a professional logo to build brand recognition
- Contact Information: Add your store's Telegram or Discord details
- Store Policies: Describe what you deliver and how buyers can use it clearly. Refunds are decided through the dispute process
- Store Description: Expand on what makes your store special
Choose Your Niche
Decide what types of digital goods you want to sell. The catalog is organized into categories, so browse it to find where your products fit. Focusing on a specific niche can help you stand out and attract the right buyers.
Adding Products
Create Your First Product
Go to "My Items" and click "Add Product". When creating a product, make sure to:
- Title: Write clear, descriptive titles that include relevant keywords
- Description: Provide detailed information about the product, its features, and usage instructions
- Price: Set competitive prices while ensuring profitability
- Category: Choose the most appropriate category and subcategory
- Stock: Upload real stock separately after creating the product; each filled line is one deliverable unit
- Images: Add high-quality images to showcase your products
Product Moderation
All new products are reviewed before they appear in the public catalog. Once a product is approved it is visible, and it can be bought while your store and stock allow. If you later change an approved product's name, description, category or image, it is reviewed again.
Bulk Upload
If you have a lot of stock to add, you can upload many stock lines at once: each filled line is one deliverable unit. Check the upload format requirements in the upload section.
Best Practices for Success
Quality Products
Always provide products that match your descriptions. Honest listings make positive reviews more likely.
Accurate Stock and Delivery
Delivery from your uploaded stock happens automatically after purchase, so keep your stock accurate and up to date. Delivered units that match your listing help prevent disputes.
Handle Disputes Well
There is no general buyer-store chat on rStock: messages between you and a buyer exist only inside a dispute. When a dispute opens, answer on your turn with clear, factual replies and evidence.
Competitive Pricing
Compare similar offers in the category and set prices that work for you. You can offer quantity discounts on a product. Check your Rank page to see the platform commission that applies to your sales before you set prices.
Build Your Reputation
Your store rating comes from buyer reviews, and your public profile shows your sales count, rating and insurance balance. Accurate listings and answering disputes on your turn help you build a good reputation.
Next Steps
Once your store is set up and your products are approved, you're ready to sell. Monitor your orders, answer any disputes on your turn, and improve your listings based on reviews and sales data.
Use the Statistics section to track your sales and trends. Promotional options include quantity discounts and bidding for a labelled sponsored slot in a category.
