Buying Reddit Accounts: Age, Karma and Community Rules
On Reddit, a brand-new account often cannot post where it matters, because many subreddits filter users by account age and karma. That is why brands and community managers look to buy Reddit accounts with some history. Here is what to check, how to stay within Reddit's rules and how an order on rStock works.

Why account age and karma matter on Reddit
Reddit is a network of communities, and each subreddit sets its own entry rules. Many use AutoModerator filters that quietly remove posts or comments from accounts that are too new or have too little karma. Moderators rarely publish the exact thresholds, so a fresh account can find its first posts disappearing without explanation. That is the main reason brands, community managers and researchers want an account with a track record.
Two things show that track record. Account age is visible on the profile as the date the account was created, and karma is split into post karma and comment karma, earned when other users upvote your contributions. Comment karma earned in real discussions usually says more about an account than post karma from reposted memes. A listing that states both, and names the kinds of communities the account was active in, gives you something to judge.
Email verification and shadowban checks
A few checks separate a usable account from a dead one:
- Verified email. An account with a verified email is easier to recover and faces fewer restrictions. Confirm that you can change the email to your own.
- Shadowban status. Reddit can shadowban an account site-wide, which hides its activity from everyone else. Open the profile in a private browser window while logged out; if Reddit says the page is not found, the account is probably shadowbanned or suspended.
- Subreddit bans. Individual communities ban users separately. Look in the inbox for ban notices so you know where the account is not welcome.
- Post history. Everything the previous user wrote stays under the username, and Reddit does not let you change a username. Read the history before you accept the account as yours.
Subreddit rules and Reddit's content policy
When you take over an account, you inherit its reputation, but you still play by the same rules as everyone else. Reddit's Content Policy prohibits vote manipulation, spam and ban evasion, so an account must never be used to upvote your own posts, to coordinate votes or to return to a community that banned you. Read the sidebar and rules of each subreddit before posting, respect self-promotion limits and disclose your affiliation when you talk about your own product. Follow Reddit's User Agreement and Content Policy, which apply to whoever operates the account.

What to compare between stores
Offers from independent stores are listed on the Reddit category page on rStock, and that page is where to check for current offers. Before you buy Reddit accounts from any store, look past the headline:
- The store's rating and sales count, both shown on its public profile.
- Reviews from earlier buyers, particularly any that mention shadowbans or email access. Refunded orders are labelled.
- The insurance balance, money the store keeps with the platform as a trust signal.
- Whether the description states age, karma type, email status and whether the original email is included.
Buying and securing a Reddit account
To buy Reddit accounts on rStock you need a verified email address and a funded rStock balance. You top the balance up with cryptocurrency through Cryptomus, and the amount is credited in USDT. Each order is for one product with the quantity you choose, and the delivered logins appear on your order page as a delivery record. Payment stays held and is not passed to the store right away.
As soon as the logins arrive, sign in and run the shadowban check above. Then change the password, replace the email with one you control, turn on two-factor authentication in the account settings and review any connected apps or linked Google or Apple sign-in. Keep the credentials to yourself.
If the account turns out to be suspended
If the account is suspended, shadowbanned or does not match the listing when it arrives, open a dispute from the order before the dispute window closes. Include what you saw, such as the result of the logged-out profile check. The store responds first; when you cannot agree, a moderator can be brought in. The result may be a full refund, a partial refund, a release to the store or a split, and refunds land in your rStock balance. Problems caused by how the account is used after delivery, such as breaking subreddit rules, are a different matter, so use it carefully.
